“caution run 2 sizes small!”

“I bought 2 pairs of these jeans for my daughter, who wears a size 12 in most brands. Based on reviews here, I ordered both a size 14 and a size 16. The size 14 didn't meet at the waist by 4-6"--it was sized like a size 8 in most ready-to-wear. The 16 fits her (but only barely); however, since "skinny jeans" are the fashionable silhouette, she has decided to keep them. The denim is paper-thin, and the flannel lining is also thinner than in other flannel-lined pants, so the overall thickness of the jeans is about what you get in a normal pair of unlined heavy denims. The quality is nowhere near what the men's is in this same brand (we bought both). If you are a woman who needs warm pants, I would suggest ordering the Moose Creek men's fleece-lined jeans, which are MUCH higher quality, and which fit like women's pants (although they are very high in the waist, even higher than "mom" jeans). The men's moose creek size 38 waist fit like a standard size 16 women's (NOT like these jeans in a size 16!).”
