My husband works in an un heated shop all winter, and insulated coveralls are too bulky to work in, so he has frozen ever year till now. Moose Creek Toledo jeans were the PERFECT solution to that problem, we will be buying more of these. Thanks Sierra Trading Post!

The price is right !
The fit is right ! (remember- The waist measurement on these jeans runs a bit small, but the website DOES inform you about this)
The quality is wonderful!
Depending on the brand & style of jeans, I can use a 32", 33", or 34" waist... Since the website informs buyers about the sizing on these *TOLEDO" jeans, Iopted for the 34" waist. (I figured, "What's the worst that can happen?.. Snug_On_The_Butt jeans?").
They fit perfectly... and if I lived in Snowstate, USA, I'd have purchased more, but I live in sunny, southern California and only need 'em for a couple of months per year. (of course, to some of you, my idea of "Cold Weather" is Shorts & Tanktop Weather).

They are a good looking jean. Nice heavy denim and a durable flannel lining.
I would have given a higher rating but the size was way off. I ordered a 38-32 when most of the times a 36 will fit me,
but this pair was way to small I would guess it would be like a 34 inch waist. I did not send them back because I have boys that can use them.
With STP return policy It would have been no problem.
They are a nice jean. I'm bummed.
Being a 52 year old man 5"11",weighing about 235lbs., I had sized my latest Moose Creek insulated purchase at slightly to the larger in the waist measurement (38" as compared to normal jeans at 36"), though the length i kept the same 34", the cut depends on how high around the waist the older generation feels is a norm, whilst us "hip" ages tend to wear them low....any way,my Northeast has had record snows, high drifts still abound, and any long dog walks, or taking a walk into sub-freezing lanes, the Moose Creek jeans keep me comfy and cozy, ,but beware, don't forget and leave them on inside, for I find i begin to roast!

Based on the pair I purchased you should go with a 38x32. I hope this helps.

I usually order a size 38 x 32 in flannel lined jeans. That is usually big for me but it gives me room to wear a pair of long underwear if it is really cold outside. The pair that I got I could not even get it buttoned with out the long underwear. The length was ok it was just the waist size. So if all the pants run the same size small I would order for your dad a 40 x 32 and he will get to wear them but may need a belt. The other thing you may want to do is order one pair of 38 x 32 and one size 40 x 32 and with STP returns policy and shipping tag you can send one pair back. Hope this helps.
