Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Reviewed by Dave from Minnesota on Monday, December 29, 2014I regret that I'm going to be sending this jacket back. I ordered the size 52 jacket, with a hope that it might fit at 6' tall individual, but alas it didn't work out. Arms and torso were too short for me. I'll be watching for another one to show up in a larger size.
There are no pit zips (in case you were wondering from the picture - those are just taped seems). Also, no D-ring / clip for a ski pass (but most resorts are moving towards RFID anyways). Also, knowing that this is a smaller jacket... I tried a helmet under the hood - it was a tight fit. (my wife tried to claim it, but it's definitely a 'guys cut'; but i mention this because even w/ her helmet it didn't seem to fit very well.
Unreal quality! This jacket is is the ultimate combination of luxury, technical performance, style and quality of materials.Reviewed by Villyh from Verona NJ on Tuesday, December 9, 2014I have been looking for high quality waterproof (min of 20K/20K) ski jacket that has style and luxury while being functional and a top performer, and at relatively affordable price, and this is it. STP's near 50% discounts makes for the latter, even though not everyone will agree that $500 is an affordable price. In the long term plus given the performance and style you get I think it pays off. Speaking of style, the jacket exudes luxury, it is not over the top look-at-me Bogner types which imho are ridiculous, and if you have athletic build it will make look even more so.
The quality, as I noted in the title, is unreal. It makes all other luxury winter clothing makers as if they are not even trying. One needs to see it and touch it to truly understand that, but I assure it is so. If you've been considering buying one of the highest-end jackets, or winter outer wear in general, Mountain Force should be right on top of the eligible manufacturers list. At STP prices, this jacket is worth every penny, I cannot be any more satisfied with my purchase.
For those wondering about the sizing - I am 5-8, 155-160 lb athletic build and size 50 fits me perfectly so that would be M, a bit on the lower end of medium. I hope that helps, and once again the jacket is of insane quality.
