I bought the pants for mountaineering trips where weight and product performance count. I am very pleased with the quality. The material is a bit thicker than other ones I tried, making them perfect for ice and snow.

These pants were not exactly what I was looking for but they had a great make. I am looking for a Gortex full zip shell pant for winter hiking/ backpacking. All the seams were taped well and the cuffs had cinch elastics. They did not have any built in gaiters and they did lack pockets. The full zips did have 4 zippers which give the option of getting to pockets underneath the pants.

These Adaros are so good it hurts! Climbing Matterhorn Peak over two days these pants kept me totally dry. With a lightweight base layer I stayed warm in cold wind gusting to 40mph, and out of the wind and in full sun I vented the full side zips to stay cool. Twice I thought I'd ripped them with my ice axe, but on inspection the Adaros had just deflected the pick with nary a nick. They did take on some snow during a glissade, but they weren't advertised for that purpose(although there were no holes or tears afterward - in fact they still looked brand new!). These will be my summer alpine climbing pants from now on.

Very durable pants. I am 5'9 and I usually buy long pants but this regular is long enough. They are waterproof and I love the extra zipper on full leg zips (i would never buy a pair or rain pants with out full leg zips...they are very handy and a time Saver as you are able to get them on over anything!!) It allows you to vent anywhere down the side of your leg. I also like the draw strings on the ankles. Its helped a lot when I did not have gaiters on while skiing. I wear them with just a base layer and thy keep the wind off well. I have also taken a number of falls and close calls bush whacking where I thought for sure I would have a tare but they have held up every time. If they had even just one pocket they would be perfect. The leg zips would allow you to get in to another pocket if you have one but I mostly wear them with just a base layer so this does not help be. Being in the field and wearing these as an outer layer most of the time it would be nice to have pockets! If you are looking for just a rain pant these are way more than that and probably not the right pant for you.
