The first test I ran this jacket through was a blue bird day at Loon, NH. Like the fit a lot, but it could be a tad longer. I'm 6'3", 180lbs and I upgraded from an 8 year old MH Exposure II parka, size L. After a lot of review reading, I got the Alakazam in XL, and it's still not as big as my old jacket, but it does feel like a more tailored fit. My biggest issue is more of a user error: make sure you zip up the inside pocket, especially if you're fond of your wallet and wad of cash. Unlike my old jacket, this one will spit stuff out of the vertically zippered pocket immediately if not closed. However, during my panic to find my small fortune, it didn't get clammy at all inside this breathable jacket.
Test 2: Gillette stadium, 34 degrees, non stop light rain. This is when the sparks really flew between me and this jacket. I wanted waterproof, and I got it. From tailgating without a canopy to our high altitude seats, my upper body was warm, comfy, and dry. And with the hood up, no one could tell I was wearing a Dallas hat!
I have high hopes for it's storm day and sidecountry performance. Just make sure you layer, it's not inherently warm at all.
