This jacket is perfect for running around town and walking. I wouldn't wear it skiing, as it doesn't have the technical details like pit zips. It's a well made, basic jacket in a flattering cut for those of us with curves!

Bought this for my wife, who wanted a soft shell with fleece lining. I feel that Mountain Hardwear's velboa fleece is one of the nicest fleeces on the market and having this jacket lined with velboa fleece makes it feel super. The jacket is well constructed and I bought the size S based on a review here (my wife is 5' 6" and 120 lbs) and it fits fine.

I couldn't be more pleased with this jacket. I bought it to replace a Marmot fleece jacket made of that super-soft fuzzy fleece (similar to what this jacket is lined with) which had become terribly matted down and ratty-looking from my car seatbelt, carrying bags on my shoulders and washing. This jacket should be able to stand up to outer wear much better but will still have the warm fuzzy fleece inside. It seems like it'll be a great mid-weight jacket for temps in the mid-40s to 50s. The range of motion with the arms is great, so it should work well for outdoor activities like hiking or cross-country skiing.
I am just over 5'7", ~120 lbs, small 34B and found the size small to be a nearly perfect fit for me. I agree with the other review that says it's a generous fit, not oversized or sloppy (it actually has some shaping at the waist) but probably better suited to an average height or taller person. I have very long arms for my height and the sleeves are long enough for me and the hem hits at my lower hip.

I am very happy with this jacket. As a size 12 I find the large is generous fitting. I could easily wear a sweater underneath, yet I wouldn't say it looks bulky. It looks really good on. It is a true red. My only concern is I will get makeup on the lining on the neck so I would have preferred it was also red. Overall a great jacket.

About Mountain Hardwear

Starting back in 1993, a small group of outdoor industry mavericks broke away from the pack to follow a less-traveled path. From the very beginning, the primary goal of Mountain Hardwear was to create an outdoor gear brand with a sharp focus on technology-driven design, superior performance and hardcore reliability. The result of this function-first mentality has been an array of incredible Mountain Hardwear jackets, clothing, tents, backpacks, sleeping bags and accessories. Today, after more than two decades of industry-leading innovation, Mountain Hardwear continues to set new benchmarks for dependability in the toughest conditions on the planet.
