The fit of this jacket is perfect for me, 5'10", 175 lbs size large. I wore it through a downpour and it was bone dry. I wore it zipped up for a day around town, doing all my normal chores, in and out of stores. It was super comfortable. I never once felt wet or clammy or hot or in any way uncomfortable. I'm going to get the same material for a pair of rain pants, and I'm going to pick another jacket up as well. This is my new favourite jacket and I own 8 other waterproof breathable jackets ranging from SunIce to Arcterryx.

I bought this jacket after doing a lot of research. It breathes better and is more waterproof than Gore-Tex. I have numerous jackets from a variety of manufacturers but I wanted one for when I fish in BC in the fall and winter. This jacket looks like it will keep me dry and therefore with my other layers, dry. We are lucky here in Vancouver to have the Arcterryx outlet and we can buy great product at deep discounts, but I could not pass up this Mountain Hardware jacket for the unbelievable price of $113. I've picked a lot of stuff up from Sierra Trading Post - thanks you guys for making my weekends so much better!!

Only worn it a few times, once in steady rain, and a couple of times in light. It does very well. The rain beads up and the breathability is great. Nice hood and long sleeves. I bought an XL and it is not too big. Haven't taken it fishing yet, which was my main purpose, although it rains here in the Ozarks regularly. I'm very hopeful this jacket will do well.

I ordered one Ampato, in XL, that seemed too short to provide adequate coverage, so I ordered an Exposure (XL) and, on a whim, another Ampato (XL). The Exposure was too heavy, for my liking, but the newly-ordered Ampato fits great! Awesome jacket, definitely a keeper. The Ampato has all the same pockets as the Exposure, but they're a little smaller and not covered with flaps. The Ampato (XL) weighs about 21 oz., whereas the Exposure (XL) weighs about 31 oz. The Ampato is much more packable, but is made of the same external material as the Exposure, so it should be as durable. There have been numerous reviews about the Ampato and Exposure being too large around the middle, but I found both to be appropriately sized for layering. (I would say that they are true to size, if it weren't for the first one I ordered.) I've yet to use the Ampato under stress, but it does seem to breathe quite well. Can't wait to try out the Dry.Q Elite in the bush. I have a lot of confidence in this jacket. Will keep you posted.
