    Excellent shell. Thick enough to stand up to very cold conditions with a fleece layer underneath. Could use chest or pit zippers, but if your fleece layer has them not necessary.

    it id difficult to rate at this time. I have only used it a couple of times I do think it may be a little heavy for hard hiking. I do like the style. I look great in it. for me the xl was two long in the sleeves, but this may be a little tight in the ches and shouders with heavy clothes under it. I don't thnk it is a real shell type of coat that I would wear in warm wet weather. TOO heavy
