Mountain hardware just make top notch clothing and this jacket is a s good as it gets. Every detail is well done. I find the fit to be generous but flattering. Arm length is slightly long which is great for me. This is 20% warmer and heavier duty than some of the other shells I have had - that look ... Read More

perfect combination for the weather out west.

It is a very nice jacket. Two large pockets on the inside. Two hand warmer pockets and the small chest pocket. It is a light jacket, but it is wind proof which makes it feel a little warmer. I got it to replace an old fleece jacket that I had that was warmer but not as windproof so they come out about even in terms of the temperatures that I will be wearing this. I got the green version, and the emblem on the front sticks out a bit more than I prefer, but I have a green felt tip marker in the office. The only reason that I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 is that the jacket is that it is cut a bit trim. It feels fine with light clothes, but when I layer it for colder weather it is a bit snug in the shoulders. I have a cyclists physique so my shoulders are not exactly going to intimidate anybody.

Great softshell for casual use. In Montana, the days can be cold in the morning and warm in the afternoon. This softshell is perfect for the climate. The ergonomic cut in the sleeve length keeps the sleeves from binding. Nice jacket.

This jacket fits well, has good flexibility and blocks the wind nicely. I often wear only a tee shirt under it when the temps are in the upper 30's.

    • Answer According to our fit models the Mountain Hardwear Brono Jacket runs true to size.

    • Answer I am 6'0" 160 and I have a medium. The jacket style seems to be more "fitted" then "loose" which is exactly what I was looking for. If you prefer a more "loose" fitting jacket, size up or pick another jacket.||Some reviews I read said it fits tight in the shoulders. I don't have that problem, but I could see that being a problem if you have a fair amount of upper body muscle.
