The fabric is soft, yet somehow not super clingy. It seems that it will be warm enough as a base layer for cross
country and downhill skiing I can't wear anything heavy or itchy against my skin. That's why I like the zipneck also.
I don't like the old turtleneck style against my throat. Just as I mentioned--perfect!! -

Well it's comfy, but it's nothing more than a thin base layer. There is no thickness whatsoever.
