This is a well made pack, its sturdy and reasonably lightweight. I purchased it to possibly use as a carry on and to carry items to the beach or woods for day trips. I am not sure if I like the outside "open" pocket as opposed to "bungee cords". I have not really used it. Toying with returning. It is sturdy enough that it doesn't collapse and keeps its shape. That being said, it can't be folded up and put in a suitcase for traveling either. The only compartment is at the top and is big enough for phone, MAYBE a small camera, a wallet. I wish there were another pocket inside but the zippered compartment at the top is it. It is VERY well made and will last a long time. The price was right, It's just not quite what I wanted. Biggest complaint if the lack of organization.

About Mountain Hardwear

Starting back in 1993, a small group of outdoor industry mavericks broke away from the pack to follow a less-traveled path. From the very beginning, the primary goal of Mountain Hardwear was to create an outdoor gear brand with a sharp focus on technology-driven design, superior performance and hardcore reliability. The result of this function-first mentality has been an array of incredible Mountain Hardwear jackets, clothing, tents, backpacks, sleeping bags and accessories. Today, after more than two decades of industry-leading innovation, Mountain Hardwear continues to set new benchmarks for dependability in the toughest conditions on the planet.
