This seems tough enough for my snowshoeing and xc ski outings, but since I got it in a pretty terra-cotta (rose) shade,I'm inclined to keep it "nice" for everyday around-town use. It has a smooth fabric lining everywhere except a panel in the back of fine moleskin-like fleece, which I expect will be...

I haven't had a chance to try it in the rain yet, but it fits well and has a great hood. I figured with Gore-Tex I couldn't go wrong, although the outer shell fabric feels like it might absorb water rather than repel it.

The shoulder area is snug and the sleeves are a bit long (so a bigger size would mean very long sleeves). Not too much room for layering if you intend to do that. I do like the jacket though and you can't beat the price!

Bought this for trekking in Peru. Wanted the grey so I wouldn't stand out too much. Excellent amount of pockets, but it feels a little overwhelming. If you like that, go for it. I might never find my chap-stick! This is not a "cute" jacket, but very practical.

I got this to run dogs with when it's raining. Did great in a downpour already. The sleeves might be a little long, but I think once it's cold they will seem perfect as there will be no gap between the gloves and the end of the sleeve. Besides you can cinch them with the velcro cuff. Like other people, I wouldn't mind another inside pocket, but I am solving that by adding my own (off my old jacket which was no longer keeping out the rain).
