2.0 out of 5 stars. Looks much better in the picture on the websiteVerified Buyer Reviewed by steego from California on Sunday, March 6, 2016I didn't like the fit. I normally wear size XL. I was swimming in this one and it felt too bulky. I have purchased many Mountain Hardwear products over the years and will continue to do so.
This one didn't cut it.
STP makes it easy to return or exchange so no harm done. -
1.0 out of 5 stars. Doesn't last long!Reviewed by J. Peterman from Northeast on Tuesday, June 9, 2015Best and warmest jacket I've ever owned. Has the cheapest zipper (China). Won't last long. Do NOT buy!

4.0 out of 5 stars. nice jacket, runs largeReviewed by tonyravioli from MD on Wednesday, April 8, 2015Nice jacket and was looking forward to trying it out, but need to return because the large is way to big for me (6' 190 lb, 42c, 35w, 34.5 s). Big beyond room for layering big.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Excellent Ski jacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by w2 from Texas on Friday, January 9, 2015Definitely runs large. Informally wear XL in TNF, but L in this jacket. Wore it skiing and definitively breathes better than much older Hyvent jacket. Did not sweat out the inside at all, definitely cooler on the lift so layer appropriately.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Great Winter ShellVerified Buyer Reviewed by Biostrom from Appalachians on Saturday, December 13, 2014As an initial impression this jacket is great as a shell for intensely cold and nasty winter days over my Arcteryx Atom AR Hoody or just by itself on chilly rainy days in the fall. At 5' 9" and 142 lbs, the small is a perfect fit both with and without a mid layer. Not as stiff and noisy as Gore-tex Pro or the higher end 3 layer Dri Q Elite, this shell is more comfortable and casual for everyday use, but still tough enough for extended outdoor adventures. I am hoping for durability as well, but only time will tell.
As for downfalls, I would mention that the front zip can be difficult if you are not careful when closing, a slight annoyance, and the hood fit could be better when not wearing a helmet. Though labeled a ski jacket, that is not my use so see other reviews for its fit to that description, but it should certainly not be defined by or limited to ski use. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Nice jacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by Pedrosforprez from Chilliwack on Friday, October 17, 2014Just bought this jacket for skiing in pnw (vancouver) haven't used it yet, so can't really comment on quality. For sizing though I'm 6' and 180 reading other comments I went with medium as it was supposed to fit large. The medium fit perfect if you like you gear fitted, I like mine a bit baggy so I had to jump up to large. Return was easy customer service was superb.

1.0 out of 5 stars. Very displeasedReviewed by Anonymous from Bend, OR on Tuesday, October 14, 2014The title says jacket, but the description said this was a shell. It is not a shell, it is a multi layered jacket. The fit is horrible, I ordered a M, which at 5'7" and 150 lbs, is pretty standard...the M jacket fits like an XL! the cut/style is also horrible....long arms, bulky, shaggy fit. I won't wear this jacket out to paint the house! Very, very disappointed with this....cost me $14.95 in shipping and $6.95 to send it back....$22 down the drain on something that should not be sold. I can't believe this is a true Mountain Hardware product , it's more like a SE Asia knockoff . Do not purchase!!!!
