They are specially made to reduce abrasion under pack straps or hip belt, regulate body temperature, fit comfortably and stand the test of time. Constructed with Switchback Plus fabric, a nylon and spandex blend, that enables 4-way stretch for maximum freedom of movement.

  • Low profile, dye cut, welded belt loops designed to minimize pressure points under a weight bearing hip belt

    These shorts are prefect for wearing under a pack . The waist is lined by soft non-stretchy fabic so they stay put. The waist is maybe a touch to high for casual, put perfect under the waistbelt. They dry quickly. I ordered a pair in each color and ordered the pants.

    Everything about these shorts is perfect. Only tiny thing I might change is lack of cargo pocket... but even that is doubtful... when hiking you have so many pockets everywhere, one on your thigh isn't strictly necessary. The wicking fabric around the waist is absolutely fabulous under a pack belt. The stretch fabric is just right, and still breathable, not plasticky. Perfect length. Fit is just a finger under the belly button. Enough to be stylish, but still comfortable under a pack belt. Very comfortable and durable. Unlike the men's shorts, these fit true to size.
