After spending several hours researching different brands and types of tech-web belts, I finally ordered a Mountain Hardwear Double-Back Belt in Grill. I definitely made the right choice! I couldn't be more pleased with the design and functionality of this belt. First off, the belt is very light-weight, which is a plus for hiking, etc. I also liked how the webbing wasn't too stiff (so as to "cut" into your waist when bending over). For the sake of comparison, I'd say it feels similar to seatbelt material (only slightly thicker). I wear a 36"-38" size in shorts/pants and have just about 5" of belt left over. The innovative buckle design also helps to prevent the belt from slipping when in use. To date, I haven't experienced any loosening of the belt whatsoever. This belt also works great with jeans or with shorts. I also considered belts through Patagonia, Dakine, Mammut, Bison, Croakies, and Oakley. In summary, I am extremely pleased that I went with this belt over the other brands. I'd highly recommend this belt to anyone!

Nylon belts are my choice for summer. This one appears to hold in place and is easy to cut to the length I want.

Exactly what i was looking for! Lightweight, strong, flexible, wide, great price and most importantly , unlike other web belts I've owned, it does not come loose.

Good for slender men who need to adjust the belt tighter than most belts provide holes for.

Received the belt today and shipping it back tomorrow. The end of the belt had been trimmed with a hot knife, or a similar tool by the manufacturer, leaving the end uneven and very jagged. I did not expect Mountain Hardwear to sell an item in such condition. The size and color was as pictured.

    • Answer It is the width of the webbing.
