The shells are what's awesome about this glove. They fit a bit loose, have a deep finger curve built in, are thin and really let you feel, which makes it super nice to work with gear. They aren't real warm alone, but the fleece bonded inside the shell makes them just cozy enough for good ice lead climbing gloves even when it's in the low teens. Use warmer gloves or mitts to belay. Take the velcro off the liners and they're nice to use separately too. Great idiot leashes, and long cuffs keep out snow etc. Best ice gloves I've ever owned, with the caveat that they have a lot of seams so they probably won't last more than a season. But they are warrantied!

This is a two-piece glove. The outer glove is fantastic. The liner that comes with it has fingers that are about 3/4-inch shorter than the outer glove fingers which makes the liner completely unusable. Fortunately I had some other glove liners that work well, so I decided to keep the gloves. Don't buy these unless you have/purchase additional liners or just want to wear the shell as a spring glove.

I purchased these gloves for my wife who has short fingers. The glove fingers were too long, which wasn't a surprise. However, the fingers of the included liners were too short for her. There is no way these gloves would work for anyone with such short liner fingers and long glove fingers. Perhaps that is why they were on sale?
    • Cons: Liners too short
    • Pros: Shells seem good
