I used these pants to glissade for about 2.5 miles down mt st helens. They kept me dry. The back of the pants lost some color from the long glissade, but they were very easy to put on and take off due to the full length zips. I ordered am 6'2, 185lbs and ordered a large, it worked great. My wifes REI brand pants did not lose any color and seemed to be tougher, so i gave them a 4 star rating

Great for Eastern skiing. Kept me dry in sleet/rain, kept the powder out of my boots, easy ventilation due to side zippers. NEEDS more pockets. The two front pocktes are totally inadequate. I miss the thigh pocket on my 15 year old Northface hyvent pants. :-(

  • Question “I am a 36" waist and exactly a 31" inseam... so should I go Large Short or Regular? Also, is this a 3 layer (no liner) or 2 layer (with hanging liner)garment? Thanks.”
Asked on 9/21/2011 12:00:00 AM by Ayaz from Westfield, NJ
    • Answer This is a 2 layer garment, and has a mesh polyester as well as a smooth nylon lining. For the sizing, if you're between 5'8" and 6'0" with a 31" inseam, a Large Regular should fit just fine.

  • Question “Do these pants have belt loops around the entire waist so you can wear a belt as opposed to suspenders?”
Asked on 2/11/2011 12:00:00 AM by Mike from Maine
    • Answer They have belt loops in the front, there is also an elastic banded section in the back that you could slide a belt through. The removeable suspenders do work very well though.
Answered on 2/16/2011 12:00:00 AM by jstrem from Grand Rapids, MI
    • Answer Mike, yes they do have belt loops. I haven't used them, so don't know much more than that.
Answered on 2/18/2011 12:00:00 AM by Jeremy from Nova Scotia
    • Answer Yes they do. There are also two velcro fasteners at the waist where the full length leg zippers end. They allow for a little adjustment as well. Suspenders made the pants uncomfortable in the crotch even when let all the way out. I'm 5'10". Belt not needed for my 32" waist with a pair of sweat pants underneath.
Answered on 3/6/2011 12:00:00 AM by Lincoln from VT
    • Answer No, they don't. There are only 2 belt loops on the front only.
