I've been wearing the parka for a couple of months. Is well-constructed with pockets well-placed. Nothing tricky here. This is a functional parka that works - just what I wanted. I have not worn it in a deluge. I have worn it in rain and snow and stayed dry. Good breathability. Only negative is that I don't see the extra length they advertise.

Great full-featured, full-coverage jacket, but heavy. I sent the Exposure back and kept the Ampato. In XL, The Ampato weighs about 21 oz, while the Exposure was about 31 oz. The extra weight gives you more coverage (longer), bigger pockets, more layering room, and flaps to cover all the zips. Like the Ampato, the hood is stellar, allowing great visibility. I've yet to stress-test the Dry.Q Elite in any meaningful way, but it does seem to breathe well. I ordered the Exposure in Duffel/Black- one of the most attractive rain jackets I've ever seen.

Runs 1size bigger, had to return first coat but return was quick and easy.I saw the parka headline and assumed it was insulated it's not,you need to layer big with this when it is cold out,it was my own fault for not reading well enough but bought the zonal coat and use it under and have a great amount of combos for jackets. Been hiking and cross country skiing and works great

Best tech shell I have owned. Very dry, wind and waterproof. Very comfortable just large enough for appropriate layering. Many jackets claim breathability...this one is the best I have used. Extra length a bonus for warmth and dryness. Have used in below zero wind conditions without fail. Hood is among the best functional that I have ever found and adjusts well to suit conditions, rolls and is secured by a flap which creates a sort of collar for jacket...very functional as hood can be unrolled and used quickly without having to pluck from inside a collar or removing coat to get at it. Great jacket. Multi season functionality. At Sierra prices I ordered a second one in different color. Can't beat it.

Ordered this for next year in a Small for almost 13 year old son (currently 5'7" 112 pounds). Fit for next year would be great as this jacket favors the long and lean. We really liked the additional length in the body/drop tail, quality, and technical features (although the hood was not helmet compatible). That said, the side pockets are very oddly placed as they are quite high and difficult to access. We ended up going with The North Face Varius Guide jacket instead; fabric is very similar in weight and function, pockets are better placed, hood can be removed, and it is zip compatible with his Redpoint jacket and vest. That said, this Mountain Hardwear shell is a wonderful find if you can get past the pocket placement.

The 2X ran big for my 6'-2" 250# frame. Exchange went very well. Great jacket, XL still big enough for layering.

I am 6'1'', 210 lbs, and the XL was much too big. Sleeves and length were fine, but the cut is very baggy around the midsection. I returned instead of exchange for L. It was well constructed and well priced - just a bad fit.

Certainly runs large, which is a good thing I think. It's Mountain Hardwear so what else do you really need to say?
