Will use to carry necessities on day hikes. This particular back comes in the regular size. It is not for portly people.

The pack is actually a great size for a day hike complete with all your needs. THe pocket system, the layout - all superb, unfortunately I sent it back. I was specifically looking for a better women's fit and unfortunately the straps were going to annoy me as they didn't contour going towards the back of the pack, and likely would be uncomfortable. Having said that, the pack had everything else I wanted - it's hard to find a comfortable waist band (with pockets) on the smaller packs but I like it comfy, not just the strap like on my other pack. I also like that the bladder pocket is technically outside of the pack, not in the main compartment. It would certainly fit lunch, rain gear, maps, lights, medical kit, light change of clothes and water needs for a day. Not fit for a women. SOunds so lame, but since I started using women's packs - you realize the others weren't made for you...

It is a nice pack, but it has a smaller capacity than I thought. It wasn't big enough to carry everything I wanted, but I gave it to my wife and she likes it. It does have a comfortable design if you don't need to carry a lot of stuff.

Great pack. Very well made, my only dissapointment was that it was a bit smaller than I thought it would be, but that's probably my fault for not confirming the dimensions.

I was looking for something slightly larger than the average daypack so it could serve as a travel pack and even carry a night's worth of stuff if necessary. We hiked the short part of the Inca trail a couple months ago and this would've been perfect. Most daypacks with hip belts only have them as an afterthought, but this one is beefy and useful. There seem to be enough pockets. Just a sharp-looking and well thought-out bag overall.
