“The top of the main compartment is narrower than the base, so while you can sometimes finagle a rope bag or trad rack INTO this pack, either is hellish to remove. I have this pack, and I've entirely given up carrying the rope, because even if I roll it narrow enough to get it in and out, then there is wasted space in the bottom of the pack.”
