“The waistband on these pants is really big; probably an extra 2-3 inches of space. I am a 'normal' size 14. If one holds their weight in the belly area, these might work. The rest of the pant seems to fit - the legs allow for muscular thighs and movement. However, there is no adjustable waistband like many other brands have with the velcro/elastic adjustments. These do have belt loops but they look like an after thought as they are pretty wimpy looking - thin and narrow and just sewn on to the exterior of the waistband. There are no side leg vents which is a drawback for me. The front pockets are rather shallow - my hand fits into them only to the knuckles. The rear pockets are a bit deeper. Then there is the useless pocket on the leftside hemline.... The pants seem very lightweight; no idea how warm they would be. I find that Mountain Hardware sizing is inconsistent with many of their products, which is disappointing because the quality is generally good. I am sending these back.”
