5.0 out of 5 stars. A quality jacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from SF Bay Area on Tuesday, October 28, 2014I haven't had a chance to really test the jacket outside in a stiff 15 knot wind so this is a limited review. That said, from outward appearances it's another quality Mountain Hardwear product. Their products tend to fit me off the rack quite well, so that's always good.
From all outward signs and trying it on, it's well-made, fits correctly and the material is very, very nice: sturdy but looks finished. Looks like it will wear well and it looks good too. It will work as a knock around town jacket.
The jacket is a little long but that's for protection. Didn't like it at first but realized it would be handy on a bicycle ride. It's also on the fitted side. Luckily I got rid of the gut but if it were still there, it might be an issue. Also there's enough room for a layer or two under it.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Mountain Hardwear G50 Soft ShellVerified Buyer Reviewed by Barnacle from So Cal on Saturday, October 11, 2014Very well constructed. Very comfortable. Great material and very nice colors.
I normally wear XL but am really between XL and Large for most clothing. I'm 5'10 205 with 46" chest and 38" waist. I wear a 18" neck 33" sleeve in a dress shirt.
This jacket is at the larger end of XL and the sleeves are really long for me. I recommend sizing down unless you plan to wear a mid-layer. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Perfect cool weather jacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Wild, Wonderful West Virginia on Wednesday, July 16, 2014I typically run hot. Even in the winter I usually only wear a shell unless I'm going to be out for a long time. This jacket looks great, has perfectly placed stretch, and cuts the wind. It does exactly what I want it to do and it looks good. Track-jacket styling with no hood, but hoods for me usually just hung down the back of the jacket...I rarely used them. Not thick, so not a lot of warm and fuzzy fleece, which is just what I was hoping for.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Excellent choice.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from New England on Wednesday, July 16, 2014Lightweight, form fitting, high quality-just what I was looking for in a softshell-this one's for cool weather, not for winter.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Awesome jacketReviewed by Squatch from Silvertown, USA on Tuesday, April 9, 2013Jacket has a great fit, not too tight but not too lose, Length is perfect. I'm about 6'1", 200lbs, and the large fits great. Jacket definitely cuts wind, however, this isn't the warmest jacket out there. The fleece lining adds a little warmth, but again, it is really great at cutting the wind rather than keeping you warm. Overall this jacket gets the job done and it looks great too. Can't go wrong with Mtn. Hardwear. .
