I chose this one to go and explore the world with, but I did not even get finished with exploring the bag yet! It has so many features you will not believe it! And it seems pretty solid too!

I bought this backpack for school, travel, and day trips. I almost returned it but I am so glad that I did not. It is very comfortable. It also fits my laptop great (and I have a pretty large laptop). It has a lot of pockets which is also a plus. I'm not sure the Gila is the best use of 2000 cu in. It is a very long pack, which makes it more comfortable but not as easy to get a lot into it. Your space is definitely vertical. It is a pretty sweet looking pack though:)

I love this pack! A great "carry-on" for commercial flights, as well as, for the trail, boat, snow-go ... everyday here in A K!

This bag has a pocket for everything. It has plenty of room but is not bulky. It would not be great for extensive use in the woods but it is ideal for day trips and school. It has a hydration sleeve which can double to hold a laptop, in addition to a fleece lined pocket for electronics. This is an extremely versatile and durable backpack.

Got this in the mail one afternoon and took it with me to central Mexico that night. Great on the plane, great for weekend excursions to small villages. Very comfortable, holds a lot and has very handy compartments - not just the run of the mill stuff. I'll be using it in Montana for day hikes and weekend trips.

This pack is very poorly designed. The outside pocket is not really attached to the main body of the pack except at a small hinge at the bottom and mesh at the top. It can be tightened down with compression straps, but generally it just sort of hangs there. You can't see this from the photo. Also, the pack is very heavy from all the extra pockets and zippers. But mainly it was the dangling outer pocket that turned me off. It went straight back to Sierra.

This will not be a primary pack, in that it is smallish. But I plan on packing it in my larger pack to use on short day trips in my travels. quite enough room for rainwear, a change of socks and a few necessities.

Nice pack - not too big and not too small. The only awkward feature is the front pocket which has a pouch behind it. I've never seen that on a pack and I'm undecided on whether or not I like it. For the price it's a great bag.
