Mountain Hardwear Highlands Jacket (For Women)

In agreement with many reviews, the sleeves are very long. I did find that I could fold them under and they would be at an almost appropriate length. Still, though, the sleeves are very WIDE which looks a bit odd. Otherwise, the fit really is good and the jacket is very comfortable and I love MtnHardware. I've asked people how the jacket looked without pointing out the sleeves issue and no one noticed the sleeves. I did get comments that it was a 'cool' jacket to wear 'casually' with jeans. So the 'tweed' look doesn't dress it up too much. I'm still undecided if I will return it, but I seem determined to wear it as it's a good MtnHardware jacket at a great price!

Reviews said this jacket was too long in the sleeves. Being long-armed like an ape myself, I love this jacket. Great jacket for layering. Ordered the XS initially, but returned for small because my shoulders were a little broader than the XS allowed.

Great jacket but not designed for hippy ladies. The top half fits fine but the bottom hem was so close cut I am going to return it because it doesnt fit right on my hips.

I tried the coat on, but the sleeves are about 6 inches too long. I would say it would be good for a tall person, but the torso would be too short. I have not worn it as the sleeves hang well past the tips of my fingers. I think I would really like the coat if the sleeves fit right.

As the other reviewers have said, yes, the sleeves are a bit long, but as someone who has always fought sleeves that were too short, I'm ok with that. I've been just turning them up once and may get them hemmed. Otherwise the jacket fits true to size, looks very nice, and is warm enough except for the really cold days (around here that's below 20). I'm 5'8", 142 lbs with broad shoulders and narrower hips and the medium fits me well. The hip is bit loose (rather than tight, as others have stated), but there is a drawstring to tighten it up a little. I don't think I could have gone down a size and still been able to wear a sweater under it. The fabric has a nice look to it, and as a bonus is a little stretchy! I like it for everyday wear - it dresses up my jeans more than my North Face "puffy" coat.

I work outdoors and I was looking for a warm,stylish coat that was not so bulky. I have recieved many compliments on this coat. The sleeves are too long and I feel that I have longer arms than most. I folded the sleeves over at the cuff about and inch or so.

This seems to be really high quality and attractive, but the sleeves were not only too long on me, but too wide and big altogether. For me, the jacket was too heavy, but I only wear really light things. It looks nice. Not for me though.

I really liked this jacket but the sleeves were annoying. They lack any closure features and are quite big around the wrists. Also, because the sleeve opening cannot be adjusted, they entire sleeve hangs too long onto the hand. This is the only reason I returned this jacket!
