Great ski coat for fair weather folks like me. I ski in Colorado and rarely do so when the temps are under 30 degrees. The minimal interior "fuzz" adds warmth in all the right places and this jacket provides enough warmth with just a single layer underneath, or light fleece if it's really cold (or cloudy). It definitely is not "insulated", but it is warmer than a plain shell.

Because I use a helmet, I've never used the hood on any shell that I've had, even though they are nice when using the jacket for other activities. Here, the removable hood is great, and designed so that if you're using it, it is as solid is though permanently integrated.

The collar can't be beat: it stays out of the way when not zipped up, and closed, it's more than big enough to tuck your whole face into if you need to get outta the wind on a lift.

Powder skirt does what it should, and also is removable when not needed.

All around a great jacket and with the right promo from STP, can be had for an unbelievable bargain.
