Mountain Hardwear Lynx Fleece Jacket - Windstopper® (For Women)

great windproof soft fleece. Plenty of room to wear a thermal shirt and zip fleece underneath for temps below 20 degrees. Glad I bought size large, it just fits with the layers. Usually I'm a medium size 8.

We keep our heat down in the winter and I bought this jacket to wear both around the house and out and about. Compared to most high-tech sports garb, it is very luxurious-looking with a fitted cut and a lush, silky nap. Despite its light weight, due to the wind-stopper quality, this jacket is much warmer than typical fleece. I'm busty and because of the close fit, I can't layer a thick sweater underneath. But it's so sleek-fitting that you can even layer it under another cardigan or piece of outwear. I have long arms and found that the fit was fine on me. One small negative side of the tight fit is that it can feel a wee bit confining in the shoulders.

I had to return it because the length was too long for me- I'm 5'4". The style may be meant to cover more, but then it was too narrow for me to wear that low.

I wear this jacket everywhere I go. I am 5'10", 140 pounds and the medium fits perfectly. Good windstopping protection, but it needs to be layered for maximum warmth. The sleeve openings around the wrist are a bit snug if I layer anything more than a light sweater under it. My complaint is that the zipper doesn't have a covering when it is zipped up all the way; cold metal on my face is not enjoyable.

Definitely zoom in on the larger view for this item to get a sense of the texture. Not your typical fleece--more like a fine pelt (lynx-like, or rabbit!), and it has a sort of sheen to it. It does make the color look more bright; I would describe the blue as "lollipop." A keeper, though, for the fit and the quality. I agree with what has been said--very slender fit, especially sleeves, and you are probably not going to manage more than one layer underneath. I am very skinny and built like a boy (5'5" 100lb, 6" wrists) and the small is fine. Beware if you are busty or more muscular. It's the only fleece I own that doesn't feel drafty from the sleeves and hem because it is trim to me. It is also feels more substantial than my other fleece, including a 600 polartec. Nice finish details with a windflap behind the zipper, tall collar nicely lined, an interior zippered pocket, drawcords on the hem and neck, and zippers on the handwarmer pockets. Lastly, it doesn't seem as static-y as my other fleece, which are pet hair and lint magnets. Bonus! Heavy but not bulky, a parka would layer nicely over this. Nice quality item from Mountain Hardware and priced right at Sierra Trading Post!

Oops, in my review just submitted I compared this jacket to a polartec 600 that I own. Correction: This jacket is warmer and heavier than the polartec *200* weight that I have.

bought this prodtuct for my girlfriend. she love the feel and the warmth it provided. but it was not true to size, and the sleeves where super tight.

Great for outdoor recreation and every day use

Though this fits me like a dream, a word of caution to others who may have an interest in the Lynx. The sleeves are esp. narrow in circumference, making it a tight fit on some women, esp. if they are more muscular in their upper build or have larger bones/forearms. That being said, the LYNX is fabulously soft. Everyone wants to "pet" the fleece and it looks stylish, a little less casual than a typical fleece jacket. It is athletic cut and with the windstop feature it will be a jacket I go to again and again. I have already received many compliments from co-workers, family and friends. The Naughty Rabbit Fleece is heavenly and it feels indulgent to wear.

I have this in polar blue and it is the same color as a smerf but it is very cute. It is severly fuzzy and windproof. Has a drawcord around the neck to keep you warmer. I really love this jacket. I highly recommend it. I also bought the matching hat and the Xexon Jacket that goes well over top of it. Stylin'
