When I first got this I wasn't sure about the styling but it started to win me over. Now I like it. Its much larger than you'd guess from the picture. The hardware on it is built to take it. Very nice. The color I have is the white one. But it really doesn't look white when you get it. Its really a dull silver. That looks much better than the white picture.

I use this for taking a bunch of text books and manuals to / from work. I load it up with my sheet music for music class, books and such. Its really too big to use as a "Mans purse". It is almost backpack size and due to its size it can get out of control when carrying hung from your shoulder. There is a small handle at the top but it doesn't seem as rugged as the rest of the bag and I wonder how long it will last. The pros are that this bag is big, deep and constructed. It has form that makes carrying a lot of things sane unlike a lot of unconstructed messenger bags. It seems well made. I've had it for a month and it looks new though I use it daily and abuse it along the way. The minus is that its laptop sleeve isn't really that great so it would be much better to have nothing at all and have that space for use by something else. The other minus is the fact that you're carrying something as huge as a backpack on your hip. If you're petite it could weigh you down. This item does look like its made to last. Prob. longer than you want it to.

The bag is great for a Laptop (it will hold a larger laptop than 12"x12") and extra's, plus books cords etc. lots of pockets. it carry's well, and easy to get to what you need. PROBLEM IS IT IS ONLY 11OO cu. in, NOT THE 1700 cu.in.that is stated in the AD.

I purchased this bag as a catch-all for a business trip I'm taking to Italy this summer. I needed something that could carry my laptop and files with care, but that wouldn't be too heavy or cumbersome. I am confident the Mountain Hardwear Memo will suffice. If I could change one thing I would create better access to the amazing pocket full of organization (which happened in the new model). Way to go, Mountain Hardwear, this is an excellent bag.

This bag would be OK if it could be transported on your back, shoulder strap is ridiculous when bag is loaded, too awkward unless it's carried very briefly, and then it's uncomfortable. Bad design.
