Mountain Hardwear Meritage Dome Hat - Gore Windstopper® (For Women)

I have a big-sized head and this hat fits very nicely. Plenty of room at top of hat so hair is not flattened. Goodbye hat hair. Snow/cold weather is predicted in the next few days so I expect to wear the hat soon.

Haven't used the hat yet, but I think it will work well keeping my head warm while setting up for long, winter morning shoots with my view camera.

I really like this because it doesn't make my head itch like so many of the tight fitting hats do. It was only available in the large so it was a little big but I am still glad that got it.

This is a great hat. It's soft, light weight, doesn't make my head sweat. Awesome.

This is a great hat for outdoor activities. I wanted a hat with a soft lining inside so it wouldn't tear at my hair - like wool has a tendency to do. This is perfect - the size is great. The hat is very warm. Though I'm a female the hat has unisex styling. Deffinately casual, but if you want a warm hat for walking the dog or snow blowing your drive - give this a try.

First off, it says for both men and women- but the tag says Women. Normally wear a large, but the large in this was for a watermelon head. I'd hate to run into the person who fits into the large version of this hat! Otherwise, top notch fabric, construction, and super soft. Just order a size, maybe two, smaller.

The hat was a present for my wife. It is a great hat, but if I had to make a complaint, it would be the inability to hear well while wearing the hat. Other than that it is a good product.

I used this hat while snowblowing 8 inches of snow for 2 hours. I usually get hot and have to take my hat off then get cold and put it back on etc. I was able to wear this hat the whole time and never got too hot or too cold. Must be because it is breathable. The blowing snow stuck to the fuzzy top but melted and dried in no time in the house. No water got through to my head while wearing it. I like the earwarmer band around the edge. I also like the fact that it is not thick and heavy so I can stuff it in a pocket or under a helmet if I want to. One thing - my head is on the large size so it barely fits me, this is typical of women's hats on me. I believe it is true to size. I would prefer the hat be a little bigger or stretchier, but it is OK. That is the only reason I gave it 4* instead of 5*.

Just love Mountain Hardware, it is definitely worth the price. A must have for winter in the mountains.
