Mountain Hardwear Mesa Convertible Pants - UPF 50 (For Women)

I love, love, love Mountain Hardware and these pants are a workhorse. Lots of pockets in the right places, fabric and construction that stand up to years of use, and love the adjustability in the waist.

Seemed like nice hiking pants, but I've 'always been a 10, and now 10 is huge on me! Smaller size unavailable, to my disappointment. [...]I won't give up yet! thanks

NOTE: waist is small - if you're an "in-btweener" in size, like me (5'2, 120lb,wears size 4 or 6 jeans), I'd go with the bigger size. I also love the short, regular, and long options in addition to the sizes. Pants are very form fitting and cute; however, if you're planning to do long day hikes that requires alot of rock scrambles or requires grandiose leg movements, I would recommend getting a 6 ( they were out).

Thoese pants are very light and versatile. Took them to Hawaii trip, did parasail and jetskiing. They dry pretty fast and has sun protection, which I really love. Only problem is they're not wrinkle resistant, get creases easily.

These are very complimentary to my figure. Great deal!

I'm taking these on a 2-week camping/hiking trip out west and feel like they should work well for the cool fall mornings and then "zip!" they'll be great shorts for the sunny warm afternoons. Unfortunately, they are a little long as a full pant, even though I ordered size 10 short.

I love that they come in lengths! Perfect for those of us with short legs. They zip off into shorts that are long enough to wear comfortably without being too short or too long. I don't personally care for a built in belt, but it isn't a problem for wear.

Should have been a great hiking/ travel pant, but very unflattering on my large hips.

These are nice looking and very functional pants. I like that they aren't too short as shorts. The fabric is lightweight and breathable. They are similar to my non-convertable mountain hardwear pants (look the same) but are a little different...not in a bad way...just a little different. I would recommend these for anything from handy for travel as well as hiking and backpacking in warmer weather.

These pants were great -- I used them the whole time I was in New Zealand (4 months), while traveling, hiking and camping, and working outside. The seam down the backside did rip at one point and I had to do a small sewing repair job -- but I was wearing them almost every day and hiking in them a LOT. The side pockets worked great for carrying wallet/ID/money, chapstick, hand sanitizer, whatever. I wore a size smaller than usual -- I don't usually fit comfortably in a size 8, but the 10 was too big in this case. Another downside was that the inner cloth belt would twist when washed and is difficult to re-straighten. But overall, I am satisfied with the use I have gotten out of these pants.
