    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    I own a lot of Mountain Hardwear clothing and it is all great and really is true to size. These were the first exception. Must be mismarked. Feel at least two sizes too small. Could not even come close to buttoning the pants. Even went to get several other Mountain Hardwear pants from the closet to make sure I just did not get fat. My other same size pants fit perfectly. Will be sending these back.

    Have other MH pants that are my most favorite, but these did not quite meet MH standard. Great materials, but poorly sized. Waist far too small, need at least 2 sizes larger than listed (and I am NOT a XXL!). Too short in front allows pants to ride far too low on pelvis to be comfortable hiking or backpacking. These are incredible pants if you can get the size right!

    I like the styling and fit. Articulated knees are nice. Not sure if I'll ever use the draw cord on the cuffs. The hand pockets have small openings and are shallow as are the cargo pockets. I'm still happy overall. The built in belt is the same as most.

    a great pair of duds for hiking, climbing or hanging out! light and comfortable. they're also windproof, so you can chuck a pair of tights on underneath for cooler spring/fall morning climbs/boulder. worth having in the pack (they're pretty light) as a back-up or to put on over shorts.
