    This jacket is my second. I was forced to retire the first because I flat wore it out after about 10 years. I am able to wear this jacket from Fall clear through Spring here in Minnesota only needing a warmer jacket or parka on the coldest days. The amazing wind-proof fleece makes it possible to wear this jacket down to the single digits before you need something more substantial. Mountain Hardware has made a few tweaks to the jacket since my original one was made about 10 years ago. They have made the sleeves a tad longer, added more abrasive cloth over the sleeves, and made the body slightly longer. I would rate all the changes as improvements! I's my go-to jacket from late September to early May in Minnesota. Oh yah, it layers well between high tech underwear and my not quite so windproof coveralls for fishing the Rainy River in late October. I haven't ever been able to find this jacket on sale anywhere until I found on Sierra Trading Post.

    The jacket is extremely comfortable in a wide range of temperatures. It completely stops the wind as advertised, keeping you warm even when strong, cold winds are blowing.
