Mountain Hardwear Offwidth Jacket - Insulated (For Women)

Bought this as a windproof shell on the bike. Although the pit zips are a little rigid, they are very handy. I grabbed the only available size (XS) because of the price and while S would have been probably better, this one was a great bargain. At 5'7" and 122 pounds the sleeves are a tad short but it'll do very well.

Great jacket for windy, cool days. Not a complaint so far. Love mountain hardwear outerwear. Great company.

The light blue color is gorgeous -- and I love the "give" of the fabric -- even around the hips. Very comfortable, lightweight but warm -- perfect for our summers in the mountains.

I find the same problem with a lot of MH womens products are cut for shorter bustier body types. This jacket had a nice combination of being a non bulky insulated soft shell. But the cut was awkward for my taller 5'7" 130 lb frame. The size medium was huge in the shoulders yet the sleeves were short.

Ordered a size larger to assure plenty of room for wearing bulky sweaters, but the size Medium might have been sufficient. The size Large also assured sleeves long enough to keep wrists covered while hiking with trekking poles...again, size Medium might have been OK on my small frame with 32-inch sleeve length.

The jacket fit great. I am 5'10" and the sleeve length was a good fit. I use this product for winter sports out west and am very pleased with it. I am very sensitive to the cold so this worked well.

This is a nice lightwieght warm jacket. Unfourtunatley it is a classic fit, which didn't work well for me, so I had to return it. It appeared to have the mountain hardware quality, just disappointed in the fit. Also disappointed that the sleeves didn't have velcro at the "cuff", as it stated they would

Bought it specifically for cold weather alpine skiing and it was perfect. I am always cold but not this time - i wore a base tank and capilene 3 half-zip and stayed warm through 11 degree blizzard conditions skiing in Utah in January. It is not a very stylish cut but it works.

I live in Southeast Alaska. This jacket is perfect for the rain, and snowfall we get here.

Where I live can get bitterly cold. One type of jacket is not enough because our conditions vary so much. This jacket is great for those very cold days when I need some insulation even though I'm wearing layers and am active. The pit zips allow for letting out some heat if I do get warm. I also have received many compliments on how it looks when I wear it around town. The one thing that I wasn't sure of at first was how the pit zips felt at first. After wearing it a couple of times, I no longer notice them because they softened after wearing it. The fit is trim, so decide if that fit is comfortable for you and order your size accordingly. I love this jacket!
