Mountain Hardwear Pegasus Jacket - Waterproof (For Women)

I loved the color, design, fabric, and functional aspects of the jacket - exactly what I was looking for! However, as a curvy, athletic woman, the jacket was just a little too slim in the hips over my ski pants.

I bought this jacket to be an outer shell over my softshell and/or fleece layers on really cold days, and as a rain jacket in the spring/summer/fall. This jacket is a beautiful color, but honestly it doesn't match any of the mountain hardwear blue shades that are out right now, so I had a hard time finding layers that matched to put underneath. The sleeve length was ok, but I would actually prefer them a bit longer. I do have long arms and always have a problem finding a jacket that fits. The size xs fit fine everywhere else, I'm 5'7 and 105 lbs. I thought the weight of this jacket would be great for spring and summer, but not as a shell in the winter unless you're very active and getting very warm. I watch kids playing outside all day in the freezing cold, so I needed something insulated. I would have kept the jacket if it was cheaper, but for the weight, I didn't think the price was good enough for just a rain jacket.

I'm 5'2" and a well-muscled 130lbs - this jacket (size small) fits me perfectly in the chest and shoulders, with just enough room for a few base layers. Not too long or too tight in the waist or hips. The sleeves are little long, but they're made to cinch up around the wrist, so it's not a problem. Pit zips are awesome. Haven't taken it out skiing yet, but it looks like it'll be super-cute and super-functional. Durability - can't say yet, but it's a Mountain Hardwear, and it looks solid.

I bought this jacket for my trek up Kilimanjaro. It was perfect. Very waterproof, warm, and wind resistant. Very cute too! I thought the length was good for both the cuffs and the waist.

This is a great looking jacket, good fit and great style. However, it literaly is so thin that it feels like you are wearing a trash bag! I know it is just a shell - but I found it incredibly flimsy feeling, there is NO substance to this jacket what so ever! I really wanted more from this jacket - it forces me to return it!

Love the jacket! It's a slender fit and has long sleeves that I love. Excellent quality.

This jacket is very pretty. However, it does run very big compared to other jackets I have ordered from Sierra.

this is a great rain jacket.sleeves run long but i like that.runs tight at the hips.if you have wide hips this may not be the jacket for you.i find this jacket slenderizing because of the cut.lots of pockets.

This is a nice coat, but the sleeves were way too long for me. It has few pockets as well. I returned it, so I didn't try it outside, but it feels like it would be warm (although it is just a shell and would need layers under it), and very waterproof and windproof. It's a nice color and style, but didn't work for me. It seems to be a really good quality coat.
