Mountain Hardwear Pegasus Jacket - Waterproof (For Women)

I was hoping that this jacket would fit as well as the Mountain Hardwear Typhoon I own but it does not. I'm 5'3 110lbs and this just fits me. The sleeves are a little long (which I like)and there is a lot of bulk under the arms which I also like as an ice climber. When you put your arms over your head the extra room in the pits allows your wrists to stay covered and to keep snow and ice out. The main issue is that it is just too tight around the hips. I always wear an XS and the XS in this jacket is just not a typical fit for Mountain Hardwear. This is listed as a Classic fit but I would say that it is definitely more of a Trim fit. If your build is straight and slim with narrow hips, this is a good jacket for you but if you are not, I would not recommend.

I wish this fit! I have been looking for a good shell to use for winter activities. It looked like a good buy - unfortunately it didn't fit. I am short and curvy (5'2, size 8). The torso of the jacket was too long, The shoulder area was also baggy, the sleeves were too long, and I couldn't fit the jacket over my hips and butt. This jacket is made for tall, slender people. Maybe the small would have fit better for upper body, but the biggest problem was it was like a tight mini skirt over my butt. Love the color though. The material seemed acceptable but I wasn't thrilled. Also I didn't really like the hood. Hope that thing is detachable because it is too bulky rolled up behind your head. SORRY! I wish this jacket was perfect.
