I've only worn this coat once so far, but it seemed to keep me dry in heavy rain. I look forward to trying it while hiking, camping, etc. It is cute and functional - who could ask for more?!

Typical great quality Mountain Hardware item. I actually had to send it back as it's not the best cut for me. Highly recommend if you are slimmer hipped. I typically wear a medium in this brand, but I'm more curvy than lean. It fit fine in the shoulders/chest, but looked a little tight on my hips.

This jacket in an xs was HUGE on my wife.

This is the first shell I've owned and I am quite pleased so far. I've been struggling to give up insulated jackets in favor of layers, presuming I'd be cold. I bought this shell, another fleece and an expedition weight base layer and this combination has been great snowboarding in ~20degree weather. It would likely be fine a little colder as well. The fit of the shell is very nice, feminine, and allows for much more movement than an insulated jacket. I got a small for my 5'2", 120lb frame. Fits well; snug around the hips when wearing the heavy snowboarding pants, but it keeps it from riding up. The pockets don't have a great deal of room, but it is a very fitted jacket, so it's a reasonable compromise. The zipper initially stuck, but appears to be fine now. Overall - great jacket at half-price.

I love the design of the jacket-pockets are well placed and the material is light. However, I found the fit of the hips to be rather tight. My size matches a a perfect 6. I found the SMALL to be ample in the shoulder/chest (if not over-roomy) but very tight in the hips. I'd say if you are smaller in the hips- this would be a great fit. Wish it worked for me- it's a nice jacket.

Stylishly cut and so far waterproof jacket. Cannot comment on longevity of item, but am currently satisfied.

This jacket was exactly what I was looking for to replace my 6 year old Mountain Hardware Jacket. I like how this jacket is more fitted and has nice detailing on the shoulders and back. I wore it skiing last weekend and it was both comfortable and breathable. The pit zips could work smoother but I think they'll loosen up over time (better than worrying about them leaking). I am a curvy 5'2" girl right on the border between a medium and large. I ordered both and kept the large so I had room to layer. The sleeves are a little long but that's normal for me. The shoulders had plenty of room even in the medium, but as other reviews have said, the hip area is a little constricting. I don't have any trouble with the large.

I'm 5'8", 135-140 lbs and this jacket fits me perfectly. It replaces a North Face Summit Series shell which never really fit me quite right. Most jacket sleeves and torsos are too short for me such that they ride up when I lift my arms, but not this or other Mountain Hardwear jackets. The slim fit around the hips is also great for skiing to keep the wind and snow out, particularly since it lacks a powder skirt, and the length is long enough that it doesn't ride up when bending over to buckle boots. Another great detail is the high collar. When zipped up, it can cover my nose, great for cold chairlift rides. I have gotten lots of compliments on this jacket. It is cute and feminine while still being a great technical piece. Perfect!

I had been looking for a nice looking lightweight jacket for spring skiing, but they all seemed to be pretty blah. Then I found this on STP, the red color is great (instead of the usual baby blue or black), and the flower accents are a nice touch. I am 5'8" 150, with an athletic build, and long arms. This jacket fits great in size large. The sleeves are long enough, and actually hit on the top of my hand. The body isn't too boxy, which is usually one of my problems. The only problem I see is that it could use another pocket.
