“5'8", 137# sz 6 fit perfectly comfy (& flattering!). The tough but stretchy fabric allows for great movement. The rise is perfect - not too high nor low. The way the pockets are placed (esp the zippered one) does not get in the way of a harness. The waistband has internal adjustability (elastic with button holes). Based on the way the fabric feels, I would use these for sailing & surfing too. I wear a S in Prana 2007/8 Tenaya, Verona & Bliss pants, 4-6 in Royal Robbins (inconsistent manufacturing), in Patagonia Serenity tights, S/6 in most Patagonia W's pants/shorts/skorts (except Rock Guide=4, Simple Guide=M).”
