I am short (5'3), so finding capri pants that fit well is not always possible. I first bought these in black from a retail store and after wearing them on a 9 mile hike on 4th of July, I knew I wanted more than one pair, so I bought the gray on STP. I also bought the shorts. I'm glad I read the reviews before I purchased these pants. They do run one full size smaller than my regular size. They aren't really capris....more like long shorts. I'm 5' 11" and they fall at mid knee. The Abbey Stone color has a greenish tint to it so I'm finding it difficult to match it with tops. They are not very flattering on me because of the length. I don't wear Bermuda short and these look a bit like that on me. I'm one of those people that would stay in my PJ's all day long if I could so they are perfect for wearing around the house. The reason I kept them is because of their smooth silky feel and stretch and because they are so comfortable. The sale price was right on. I would not pay retail.

An update to my previous review: I sent back the size 14 and re-ordered a size 8 as it was the only size available (I usually wear a size 12/14) and the 8 fits perfectly. (I am 5'11" with hips on the narrow side and waist on the thicker side). I recommend sizing down 1-2 sizes (2 sizes if you have narrower hips, since there is a drawstring and the waist seems generous)

Order a size smaller, they are big around the waist. Otherwise, really comfy and stylish. Would buy another.

About Mountain Hardwear

Starting back in 1993, a small group of outdoor industry mavericks broke away from the pack to follow a less-traveled path. From the very beginning, the primary goal of Mountain Hardwear was to create an outdoor gear brand with a sharp focus on technology-driven design, superior performance and hardcore reliability. The result of this function-first mentality has been an array of incredible Mountain Hardwear jackets, clothing, tents, backpacks, sleeping bags and accessories. Today, after more than two decades of industry-leading innovation, Mountain Hardwear continues to set new benchmarks for dependability in the toughest conditions on the planet.
