I really love these pants and I have a Mountain Hardwear ski jacket so I like the look and durability of both togeher. I ordered the Medium since I read the reviews and knew these pants ran small. I wear a 6 or 4 pant and the medium size fits just right.

Really nice pant, well made and stylish and good materials. However, not designed for girls with large hips (most snow board pants aren't: if they fit in thighs and hips, then really baggy in the waist). If a thinner build , then these are great.

Hate to review something before I've actually used it, but these pants appear to fit the bill. I shopped long and hard for ski pants that had an adequate pocket arrangement plus belt loops and ventilation in the legs. These have all I wanted except a high waist in the back. My only worry is that the fabric is very thin and feels like it could rip very easily. My previous pants were tough fabric with full leg zips...nothing like that on the market now in my price range. I am a medium but ordered large to allow for layering. Belt loops mean I can cinch the pants up at the waist if necessary.

Stylish and flattering -- but they run small!

These pants were toasty for downhill skiing. Wore with base-layer, though when I took off the snow pants, pieces of insulation had come out and stuck to my base layer. For skiing this might not be a big deal, but I had planned to use these pants over my tights for winter biking commute to work.

The length of the gaiter seemed longer than it should be and the elastic wasn't tight enough to hold it at my ankle as I was walking around getting ready to go outside. The outside pant length was fine.

The velcro tabs at the sides curl up. It would be an improvement to use snaps. Velcro catches on tights and more fragile materials used in dress clothing.

These are stylish and warm, and have all the advantages that MHW comes with (great zippers, snaps, construction, etc.). However, their fit is somewhat strange. They sit below the waist, which looks fashionable, but can be unpractical, if you want to have warm kidneys on a cold, blistery day in the backcountry.

    • Cons: Legs too narrow, Poor Fit, Waist cut too low
