Closeouts. Get the power of Polartec® Power Stretch® fabric on your side with Mountain Hardwear's Power pants. Smooth, snag-resistant exterior easily slides under shell pants, and has a smooth, contoured waist, flatlock seams, and concealed zip side pocket.
I have a pair of Mountain Hardware Powerstretch Tights that I love... warm, comfortable, lightweight and very durable. This style is designed for women who would like hip-huggers... the rise is short so they hit about 3 - 4 inches below the waist and I'm relatively short at 5' 4". Not a great feature if you want to have things stay tucked in and keep warm... not to mention that I didn't look good in hip-huggers 40 years ago when I was a teenager and still don't now.
Also, I find the Mountain Harware brand to run a bit small... I am a size 6 pant and the hips on the medium in this style and the tights just fit.

Great length! Wonderful fabric! No drawstring, no way to keep thise up when really moving. Too bad as I loved all els about them. I debated adding a new elastic, or a drawstring....but then...just sent them back.

These pants were awesome, with one major con - they were super long for me. I had to hem them at least 5 inches, and I'm 5'6". I got the large because it was the only size available then, and I usually wear a medium. The large is comfortable and roomy, just too long. I have worn them out around town, and on a hike in the winter and they were great!

These pants are not as long as advertised, which is great for me because I am 5'4". I am not an outdoors person at all, but a work-at-home and drive all afternoon and evening mom. These are lightweight and very warm and comfortable, really perfect for moms who want to be comfortable and warm without looking like a kid in snowpants. This brand makes high-quality clothing. Great deal.

Read the reviews and thought these would fit a size 10 to 12 person but they felt like a solid 14 AND were beyond high wasted. I recently purchased a pair of size 10 mountain hardware pants that sit below the waste (I am 5'8 and short wasted) so fit fine just below my belly button). Their sizing chart says M is 8 to 10 so I went with Large. These came up two inches above (had that feeling of what it would be like to wear suspenders). [...]

I ordered these because another reviewer had described them as having an incorrectly sized length at 31 instead of 34 inches, well I must have gotten the correctly labeled pair! They were way too long and really to big as well, I'm 5 61/2 about 135 lbs, ordered a medium and I could have worn a small

These are exactly what I had been looking for; warm, not too bulky, wear-around-townable and cute to boot. I am short (5'3", 127 lbs) and am thrilled to have a pair of size small polartec pants that don't drag the ground. Can wear them back country skiing under shell pants and to yoga class. . . perfect.
