This thing looks and feels like a sweatshirt, but the mid-weight Cotton / Poli blend fabric, heathered lining, tight knit wind and water resistant surface and stretch panels in key areas make it more technical and trail worthy than the standard. Articulated hood is much better also. A great alternative for those who like wearing sweats outdoors, but want to avoid 100% cotton garments for obvious reasons. Fit is snug, with long torso and sleeves, as MHW has decided to go the euro fit route. I am 42” chest, 36” waist, and 5’10” height, 200 lbs. I ordered both the Large and XL. The XL was too big and droopy but the large was a bit snug, specially around the 36” waist. So if you’re under 210 lbs, go for Large, if above, XL would be best. Of course Sierra Trading Post took back the XL no questions asked, made return very easy with the prepaid label. Love em.

This jacket looked great, and fit nice, but the fabric is thinner than expected. Would be best used for a lightweight hoody or for layering. Inside is soft and the outer fabric has nice texture. Sizing for XL was good, not to big or small.
