Verified Buyer Reviewed by Mitch from Colorado on Monday, January 26, 2015Love Dry Q elite products, a genuine improvement over Gore Tex in the breathability department. I bought this for a basic cycling jacket that would be small and light enough to throw in the back pocket of a cycling jersey. No frills here like pit zips or fancy pockets and I wish the fabric was a bit less noisy and soft like the snowtastic jacket but at 1/3 the price and half the weight of their more full featured hooded jackets this fit the bill perfectly for this application. Put this under a faucet to test waterproofness...water completely rolls off, zero absorption.
Reviewed by ftompos from Tennessee on Monday, April 14, 2014Its made to do one thing, keep you dry, and it does that very well. Mountain Hardware's Dry.Q Elite couldn't be more breathable. However, the lack of pockets and pit zips leaves something to be desired.
Reviewed by Dr. T from Colorado on Tuesday, November 5, 2013Good quality materials, but no pit zips and seemed wide through chest and waist.
Reviewed by airborne4 from Utah on Friday, November 1, 2013I didn't realize top notch manufacturers still made hoods without the three point cinch down system. This anorak shell has two cinch cords in the front but none on the back of the hood to lock the hood to your head. I can turn my head inside the hood. I haven't tried on a hood like that for a couple of decades. I am sure it is a weight saving feature but it might be a deal breaker for me. I love Dry-Q Elite and have it in heavier jackets. It works as advertised and really is far more breathable than my experiences with GoreTex. Also love the lightness and compressibility of this jacket. Thumb loops with butter jersey sleeves are alright. Only one interior mesh pocket that is open at the top. No exterior pockets if that is an issue for you. I could live with that. Just not sure about the hood.
