Now for the 'but' .... Unfortunately, my legs are not as long as I thought and wish so these were too long for my 5'2 frame. I had hoped that band at bottom of leg would be tight enough to keep them from dragging on the ground but it isn't so I'm looking for a long legged friend to share a great product with.

I love anything by Mnt Hardware-the quality is always high and as a mature women I am not able to fit many other brands (north face pants are not made for the older gals!) I have looked at many different pants to get a decent fit in both the waist and hips, plus I like something a little heavier for the mountains and these fit both needs, plus they look nice. I wear an 8 in jeans and got a 10 in these. The 8 was a bit snug for backpacking, the 10 is just right.

Like these pants, Mountain Hardware has good quality. I know from other purchases that they tend to run on the smaller side of the sizes but for this brand they ran true to size.

I was debating whether to get the size 8 or 10. I am 5'5" 145lbs with an athletic build. I opted for the size 10 which was much to big and will have to return them. These pants are very relaxed through the hips and thigh area. They fit great at the waist. Wish they had some 8's left, am disappointed I will not be able to keep them.
