Reviewed by Jill from NH on Sunday, October 14, 2012I have had other sweaters from the Mountain Hardwear 'Sarafin' line and like that they are versatile enough to wear to work, on a hike, or lounging around the house. The fabric is durable and hasn't pilled after many washings. It is on the thinner side, which can be a good thing, but if you're looking to be really warm and cozy you would want a long sleeve underneath. It's not as soft as a 100% merino wool sweater, but still soft enough to be worn next-to-skin. I wear it in the evenings and mornings at home, but have also worn it to work, it's very flattering. Considering getting another one to leave at the office so I always have something to throw on if I'm cold. I'm 5'2", 135 lbs, 34B and the small fits great (I wear most tops in small and bottoms in medium).

I was delighted to see that the sleeve length on the medium was perfect for my long arms. I wear a shirt under the sweater so that the wool does not itch. It is machine washable, so easy to care for. The negatives are that there is a lot of fabric in the middle to cinch with the belt, so it is not a very sleek or form fitting sweater. It does somewhat look like a pajama robe. But for a sweater that could double for a jacket or keep your heating bill low in the winter, this is perfect.

Otherwise, I would have kept it and really enjoyed it. Nice weight for a quick trip to the store or a sunny day walk. I liked the "recycled" material.
