Bought 2 and will wear them regularly, super comfortable and easy to pack. Nice longer length for places you don't want "short" shorts.

These are basic canvas shorts that taper quickly to the knees. The fit is odd. Legs are too slim to be comfortable.

These shorts are great. They are comfortable and figure flattering. The description on the website said that they run small and order one size up. Don't do it! If anything, these shorts are slightly big in the waist (but they have a draw sting).

I am 6' tall and have a boyish(straight in the hips) figure. I cannot wear a contoured waist at all and these fit me well. The drawstring cord works if I need a little bit of a fit. My only complaint is the front pockets have a little more extra material which bunches at the leg crease when walking but I'm mainly using these shorts to hike in and commute on my bike. For some, extra pocket room is a bonus, for me and my shape, the pockets make it a little bulky. However, I am keeping them.

I absolutely love these shorts. I have two pairs and would buy more. The fabric is soft and comfortable and stretches with whatever you're up to. Highly recommended.

I thought that if I shrank them in the wash, the waist would fit a bit better. Alas, they fit the same. There is a nice cord you can pull to bring in the extra material, but then they have a bit of a funny bunching look to them at the waist that shows through if the shirt hangs below the waist, and if not, they look like I am wearing my "big buddies" shorts and trying to make them not fall off. I don't know if going down a size would help this issue or not- I love the color, the feel, the material, etc... so definitely still worth holding onto...

I bought my first pair of Mountain Hardwear Shasta shorts during a trip to Moab, Utah. Then, when I found them on Sierra Trading post for much less, I purchased two more pairs. They fit perfectly and look really terrific. I hike a lot in Sedona.

These shorts are very versatile and are my favorite hiking shorts. I love the interior cinch cord that adjusts the fit of the waist. The shorts are very durable and hold up well to sliding down bolders on rugged hikes. They are also very stylish and are great for casual affairs. The Shasta Short is now my favorite -- I own five pairs.

As usual, Mountain Hardware comes through. My favorite thing about these shorts is the draw string in the waist band. You adjust it one time and thats it. It has this cool little gromet that keeps the tie tight.
