Jacket is very lightweight and packs well. hood rolls into the collar, but when it is rolled it is too big and stiff to be comfortable.

This is a very good 2 layer shell with some problems. Nice waterproof pockets and pit zips work well, but main zipper isn't waterproof and there are no snaps or velcro closures to keep the top and bottom closed when cinched. Could be problem in heavy rain. And, if you're looking for the new Event-like technology, only the DRY-Q "Elite" membrane is air-permeable.
    • Best Uses: Hiking in rain, Skiing
    • Cons: Not air-permeable, Only "Elite" is air-perm
    • Pros: Lightweight stylish, Stretch nice feature

Used this shell while backpacking this past weekend. Went off trail for most of the trip and ran through alot of thick brush/thorns. No tears or marks of any kind. Better than my Gore Tex shell regarding wear. Very lightweight. The only problem I have had is that the zipper comes undone from the bottom up when it is cinched up at the bottom. Not that big of a deal as long as I zip it back down every few hours. Will be using this as my primary shell year round.
    • Best Uses: Outer shell
    • Cons: Zipper issues
    • Pros: Good Fit, Indestructable, Lightweight
