The ankle entry is really too small to get your foot into! While I did manage to squeeze in to try out the feel/warmth, it would not be comfortable on a daily basis. Inside was cozy, although a pretty thin sole. Definitely just for indoor use.

The elastic cuff that hold around your ankle is WAY too small. I could not even get my foot into this product. The bootie is NOT sized wrongly, only the elastic cuff. However, I can't get my normal size feet through the cuff, so the product is abosultely unusalble and I rate it therefore as 1 star:Horrible.
Made in china. Apparently Chinese feet are not sized like Europeans. No Euro person would look at this product and say the cuff size is anywhere near big enough for an average foot of that shoe size.

I've worn out my old down booties, so I was excited when my new ones arrived. However, when I went to try them on, I couldn't get them past my foot. The opening at the top is so ridiculously small, I find it hard to believe they tested these at all before putting them on the market. I had to return these, and I'll order another pair of Sierra Designs instead.

Very warm and cozy... good for around camp as long as its dry outside! I wear a mens size 9 1/2- 10. I bought the medium because thats all they had left and it just fits, so if I had a choice would go for the Large. There is an elastic band around the top that fits a little to snug for my liking but that may due to the medium beiing maxed out in size for me. All in all great product from a brand I trust.
Question
“Are their any women out there who have these? How is the fit for you (especially around the ankle/getting them on)? I wear a women's 7 1/2 -8 [5-6 men's]”

They are primarily for indoor use or great for a tent or yurt.

Mountain Hardware makes professional cold-weather gear, so I could see a climber slipping out of his crampon-equipped shoes into these, campside, at the end of a day of climbing. For mere mortals, however, i'd say stick to the indoors with these since they are not waterproof or machine-washable.

I sue these boots indoors and outdoors, as they have become a new addition to my winter backpacking gear. the soles a relatively durable, but always do watch where you step, as the fabric could rip if snagged on something in camp.

Answer
either, the sole is not super rugged but it will work for walking around camp.... there is no reason why you can't wear them indoors too.

I think best for camping, for indoor use I would find something more durable as weight does not matter.
