5.0 out of 5 stars. love love LOVE this jacket!

This is my go to jacket for all my outdoor adventures! It is a great lightweight jacket that fits under a shell or stuffed in the bottom of your pack. I wear this jacket rafting, camping, fishing, snow biking, hiking in cooler weather, Nordic skiing, backcountry skiing... I love that is synthetic = it can get a bit wet but dries quickly. I've owned this coat just about a year and the quilted stitching has help up after NUMEROUS washings. I also like the fit of this coat, not too tight in the hips or shoulders. 100% recommend this jacket!

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Just what I wanted

I wanted a lightweight packable insulated piece for spring and summer hikes. I think that this will be perfect. Folds into it's own pocket and is super lightweight. A terrific deal. The Ghost Whisperer was too tight under the arms, but this fits like my other Mountain Hardwear.

Love this jacket! I wear small and it is true to size. It is light weight and very warm... I can't wait to head up to the mountains!
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Lightweight but warm

This is super lightweight - and can smash down to fit in a pocket! It isn't warm enough for really bitter cold, but it is great for low 40s - I got it as a traveling layer, I can put it under a rain shell and be prepared for just about anything except sub-zero weather with those two pieces. It fits nicely - loose enough to layer a heavy sweater under it, but fitted enough to look decent with a light shirt underneath. Pockets are plenty big, although there is no inside pocket. Arms are plenty long. I got a small, and normally wear about a 6. A few people complained about the zipper, I haven't run into any issues with it. For the price, you can't go wrong!

Would not think it was that warm, but it is and is great to use because the inside is nice and slippery.
  • 2.0 out of 5 stars. Bad Zipper Design
Reviewed by Jenna from Pittsburgh on Tuesday, February 28, 2017
Loved the fit and warmth of this jacket. But the zippers are poorly designed in that there is a fabric flap on top of them, and the zipper constantly gets stuck. So annoying I had to return it!

About Mountain Hardwear

Starting back in 1993, a small group of outdoor industry mavericks broke away from the pack to follow a less-traveled path. From the very beginning, the primary goal of Mountain Hardwear was to create an outdoor gear brand with a sharp focus on technology-driven design, superior performance and hardcore reliability. The result of this function-first mentality has been an array of incredible Mountain Hardwear jackets, clothing, tents, backpacks, sleeping bags and accessories. Today, after more than two decades of industry-leading innovation, Mountain Hardwear continues to set new benchmarks for dependability in the toughest conditions on the planet.
