Mountain Hardwear Torque Jacket - Waterproof Insulated (For Men)

Spent more time than I should looking for a replacement jacket for the 40F to -10F temp range in which I live 5 months of the year. I also wanted a versitle jacket that I could grab without thinking no matter what the weather in Autumn, Winter or Spring.I narrowed it down to the Patagonia Micro Puff, LL Bean Primaloft rain jacket, and this one. Since I'm pretty rough on clothes I ruled out the Pat., then finally went with the MH because it was on sale for less than the LLBean one. When I pulled it out of the box I was sceptical if the MH Torque would be warm enough, but after a week the insulation seemed to loft pretty good and it's proven to be exactly what I was looking for. I've worn it in rain, sleet, and snow as well as 35 to -5F weather. It kept me completely dry and warm until about 0 degrees, then got chilly in a hurry. I still give it 5 stars since it does what I ask, looks good, and seems to hold up to daily wear just fine. High quality garmet all around.

As usual excellent product from Mountain Hardware. I have 6 or more Mountain hardware jackets/coats and love them all. This is going to replace my 15 year old Hely/Hanson ski jacket. Only took ten years to find one! Very pleased.

Great Jacket overall. The Conduit laminate has been great lately. I just had 2 weekends of rain and the DWR worked great, the water just beaded up. The jacket has enough pockets for sure and the pit zips are a nice feature. It's lightly lined i believe 100g Primaloft One insulation with a nice powder skirt that doesn't get in the way even if you leave it on. Nice hood and cinches well with good peripheral vision and laminated hood. I'm 6'2 and 195 lbs and the XL fit perfect. The only thing i would upgrade is waterproof zippers instead of the double flap in front and behind the main zipper. Overall great. Enough warm for a variety of activities.

Haven't had this for too long, but I bought it to keep me warm & dry during a trip to central europe in March. It delivers! Some really windy & wet days did not slow me down at all! Nice-looking design, plenty of pockets, well-insulated so you don't need heavy layering underneath. Packs pretty well too. Detachable hood is a great feature. Looking forward to using it for snowboarding next season! I wanted orange/rust color but wasn't available in my size...shark color is great too!

I am a wildlife photographer spending several months each year in remote locations. I found this product more than satisfactory as well as good looking.
