I got this jacket to replace my down sub zero when it got ripped beyond repair. The description and reviews all said how warm it was so I was all over it for low weight/ bulk with high warmth. Unfortunately the description and reviews were wrong! It barely has any insulation. It is basically a shell with a very thin liner attached. I got it because it was a crazy good price so I guess I can't complain too much. But will probably have to find something else to wear with it for these new york winters.

Fantastic jacket for cold weather activity. Looks much better in person than in the picture. Have worn it skiing as well as around town. Gets a little warm with high output activities, but the pit zips help. Reasonably waterproof; not gore-tex, but for breathability reasons I wouldn't want it to be. Excellent craftsmanship and great detailing with all the high-end trim: pit zips, zip-off hood, zip-out powder skirt, ample pockets, etc. I am 5"11", 175lbs with an athletic build. The medium fits well through the shoulders and arms with room for layering, but is a tiny bit short in the torso, which doesn't bother me.

A very high quality product. super warm for it weight. I have not tested in the coldest of Michigan weather, but ithink it will be fine with a medium to heavy fleece underneath.

Heavy-duty YKK zippers. Very durable materials. Medium fits me perfectly (5'9"; 160lbs). Ideal when not wanting to deal with layering. Just grab this jacket and go! Absolutely well worth the price. I've owned many jackets from all the top brands. This is by far the best- and least I've paid for- ski jacket.

Warm, water repellent jacket used for the first time with family sledding, tubing etc. in Yosemite. After two hours rolling around in a foot of snow, the jacket did become slightly damp but dried fairly quickly once indoors. That works for me. The underarm vents are gigantic and did help with overheating. Overall, great performance and I assume for skiing and snowboarding, with less time actually in contact with snow, this jacket would be awesome.

Nice jacket and it keeps me warm on windy days when walking the dog along the beach. I find the jacket warm enough to keep me warm by itself in 40 degree weather. I don't like that the torso feels to short. I'm skinny and average height for a medium and it barely reaches my waist which is slightly annoying. I probably should have ordered a large but the sleeve lenght on the medium is plenty long.

This jacket ideal for rain or snow. In the Pacific Northwest its an all around winter jacket, although in serious cold you'd want something warmer. The pit zips are nice to have for skiing or snow shoeing.
