This has been my go to tent for the past 4 years. I also have the North Face Mountain 25 but this Mountain Hardware tent gives me so much more room. I'm 6 foot 2 inches so the extra room is nice. I live in Colorado so I spend a lot of time up high in the Rocky Mountains all year round. I usually camp well above 10k feet so I need a tent I can trust my life on. This is THE TENT to do that. Yes it's heavy but there's a reason for it. If i could only have one tent for cool to cold weather I woukd take this tent. I usually camp in blizzard conditions sub zero Temps with very harsh wind conditions. I haven't had any issues as long as it's pitched right. I got this tent in brand new condition used at an REI garage sale for $130 so I can't complain. It even came with a footprint already in the bag. The best thing is Mountain Hardware comes with a lifetime warranty no questions asked.

About Mountain Hardwear

Starting back in 1993, a small group of outdoor industry mavericks broke away from the pack to follow a less-traveled path. From the very beginning, the primary goal of Mountain Hardwear was to create an outdoor gear brand with a sharp focus on technology-driven design, superior performance and hardcore reliability. The result of this function-first mentality has been an array of incredible Mountain Hardwear jackets, clothing, tents, backpacks, sleeping bags and accessories. Today, after more than two decades of industry-leading innovation, Mountain Hardwear continues to set new benchmarks for dependability in the toughest conditions on the planet.
